Just arrived!!
Participating Art Dealer Rick Roberts from "Artophile"
unwraps his latest "Academy Award Winning Art"!

loads of fresh finds-
from across the province and from Quebec, over 70 truckloads of "freshly picked goodies" will be rolling into the 40,000 square foot Fieldhouse at Carleton University.  There really is just too much to mention here, but a small smattering of the antiques and vintage living are mentioned below...

pine pine pine -displaying for the very first time is one of Toronto's best country pine Dealers - David Stewart's  "Brooklin Antiquarian".  If you love the look of warm pine furniture, you'll love this booth.

alluring art - eat your heart out Hollywood!  The artwork for 64 Academy Award winning films was created by Italian artist Sylvano Campeggi. Participating Art Dealer "Artophile"has the exclusive North American rights to sell Campeggi's original
(not reproduced) works - very cool.

country furniture- the Sale features the region's best selection
of country furniture, from pine to oak to walnut - but remember -
it's under one roof for 2 1/2 days only!

terrific textiles- if you love that invitingly cozy look in decorator magazines where a magnificent quilt is draped over an over-stufed couch - then you'll love digging through the quilts and textiles at the show.  Of special interest is Montreal based textile specialist
"Jill Marvin" and Brockville based "Dovetails and Square Nails".

fleas- the kind of "fleas" that "The Breakaway" brings to Ottawa, don't buzz - but they certainly create one!  Trucked up from their sprawling farm in Brighton, Ontario, veteran Dealers Bud and Jill Guertin offer a vast array of wonderfully affordable vintage living items.

collector classics- if you are true connoisseur of the finest antiques, then this Sale is not to be missed.  Ottawa's "Ernest Johnson" and "Times Past", Montreal's "Anne Paris' and "Gallerie du Louvre" and Toronto's "Manley and Sheppard" are just a few of the highly noteable top-notch participating Dealers.

architectural salvage- John Sorensen "Balleycanoe" doesn't participate in many shows - he doesn't have to.  The huge Balleycanoe warehouse facility (about 90 minutes from Ottawa) attracts a large and loyal following fof decorators from Montreal to Windsor.  Grab this opportunity to get acquainted!

passport to Paris- Did you know that participating Dealer Phillipe Pallafray ran an auction house in Paris?  That means Phillipe has great sources in Paris where he returns each summer to buy - don't miss it!

jewellery- antique and vintage jewellery is a bit of an insiders' secret!
Insiders know that many types of jewellery (think diamonds) can be easily compared with "new".  What insiders also know is that apart from the highly desirable settings, antique and vintage jewellery is often half the price of new!  Don't be left on the outside - come in and see for yourself!
